From April 12 to 25, 2024, Mr. Nicolas Ryter, project
Thanks to your generous donations during our Christmas fundraising campaign, a project to build agricultural solar wells can begin this year in the Agadez region. In Niger, almost half of the population has no access to water, a problem that is getting worse every year with global warming. Indeed, wells have to be drilled deeper and deeper in order to reach water tables that were previously accessible closer to the surface. These solar-powered wells will draw water continuously to irrigate the market gardens and feed over 2,500 people!
MAP ensures that all projects are designed to meet the direct needs of the beneficiaries, in accordance with local socio-cultural contexts, and aims to promote long-term self-sufficiency.
