15TH ANNIVERSARY OF MCH IN DAKAR

From November 30 to December 3, 2023, Mrs. Linda Ammendola, Secretary General of MAP, and Mr. Nicolas Ryter, Projects Coordinator, traveled to Dakar, Senegal, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire (MCH) in the presence of 35 operated children and their families, partner associations, MCH correspondents from the various countries of intervention and government representatives.

Launched in 2008 to mark the 50th birthday of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the scheme brought together 16 associations in Monaco to operate on children with serious heart conditions that are not operable in their home countries. More than 515 children have undergone surgery since then, including 435 in Monaco, and the rest in their home countries of Mali, Madagascar, Senegal and Burkina Faso, thanks to the development of local operations since 2019.

The program included a visit to the Cuomo Cardiopediatric Center in Dakar, where some of the children undergo surgery, meetings with doctors, MCH correspondents and partner associations, and on Saturday December 2, a celebration party attended by 35 children and their families. On this occasion, MAP presented them with bags full of school supplies to thank them for coming and for their testimony.

Our heartfelt thanks to the International Cooperation Office of Monaco for this wonderful event, which highlighted this wonderful chain of solidarity!
