From November 7 to 15, 2024, Ms. Emanuela Bartoli, Administrator,
On Thursday 9th February, in the new premises of La Collection de Voitures du Prince, the Boulangerie Costa offered a cocktail reception in consideration of the actions carried out by MAP throughout the world, in the presence of its Honorary President H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
The reception marked the end of Epiphany 2023, which Maison Costa celebrated by filling its “galettes des rois” with 24 beans bearing the image of MAP’s projects; part of the proceeds from this charitable initiative were donated to the Association. To mark the end of this generous operation, Mr Marc Costa presented a cheque for €15,000 to the President, Mrs Donatella Campioni, surrounded by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the members of the Board of Directors and numerous guests. This donation will be allocated to the canteens of two schools in Madagascar, and will ensure a daily hot meal for more than 1,200 pupils, in order to avoid school drop-out.
Mrs Donatella Campioni, in her speech, gave some key figures that illustrate the very fibre of the Association, which is very active in the field: in 44 years, MAP has carried out more than 1,000 projects in the fields of education, health and community development, across 28 countries on 4 continents. Nearly 100 missions have been carried out by the Trustees at their own expense and, thanks to a grant from the Princely Government and a voluntary Board of Trustees, 100% of the donations go directly to the projects. In total, this represents more than €25 million of donations fully allocated to projects.
MAP ensures that all projects are designed to meet the direct needs of the beneficiaries, in accordance with local socio-cultural contexts, and aims to promote long-term self-sufficiency.
