From November 7 to 15, 2024, Ms. Emanuela Bartoli, Administrator,
World AIDS Day was celebrated on December 1, 2023 by the team from our partner association in India, Masstrust. With the support of MAP, an event attended by over 500 people was organized around the theme “Let communities lead”.
This year, World AIDS Day highlighted the key role of communities living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as young leaders, who have played a vital role in the progress of the response to the virus. The day kicked off with a rally launched by the Dindigul District Collector, followed by a conference highlighting the importance of the day. Participants were made aware of the measures needed to eradicate the virus and the need to help people living with HIV/AIDS.
Many thanks to our team in the field, who are doing a fantastic job of medical follow-up, psychosocial support, awareness-raising and advocacy.
MAP ensures that all projects are designed to meet the direct needs of the beneficiaries, in accordance with local socio-cultural contexts, and aims to promote long-term self-sufficiency.
